I'm Not Much on Rear Window Ethics

I just finished watching Rear Window, and I loved it. It is so good. It has so many great quotes... I just had to put some of them here.

Detective: [referring to what was buried in Thorwald's flower bed] It's over in his apartment. In a hat box. Wanna look?
Stella:
Oh, no thanks - I don't want any part of her.

Lisa: I wish I were creative.
Jeff: You are. You're great at creating difficult situations.

Stella: Let's go down there and find out what's burried in that garden.
Lisa: Why not? I've always wanted to meet Mrs. Thorwald.

I really love Hitchcock. I have a biography laying on the floor about him that I borrowed from the library, but I certainly haven't had time to read it lately. I really should make time, though. Hitchcock really fascinates me. I love how he shows up discretly in each of his movies. I actually couldn't find it in this movie, though, so I had to Wikipedia it. Hitchcock appeared briefly winding up the clock in the neighboring apartment during the party. Pretty hard to notice, even if you are looking for it.

The following is a list of all the Hitchcock movies I've seen so far in the order of how well I liked them. The first three or four were difficult, because I loved them all. I have a couple more ordered from the library, and a bunch more I want to see. My goal is to eventually see everything he's done.

Oh, and by the way, I'm up to 11 movies watched so far this fall. :)

1)Rebbecca
2)Rear Window
3)North by North West
4)Vertigo
5)The 39 Steps
6)The Birds

And speaking of the library, I just have to vent for a second... I ordered Brazil several months ago, and there are still several hold on it before it's coming to me. Ugh! Actually, I've been 2 of 3 holds for the past month, so I'm thinking someone just kept it. Maybe I should cancel and reorder it... But on a happier note, the Moon Library just updated their website, and it looks a lot nicer. So I guess I can excuse them for the excessive wait for my movie....
